okay, i'm here i promise. been a bit preoccupied to get on here but now i'm alright. i had a blast this past weekend with erin at the chevelle concert and on the tilt-a-whirl. i've decided that next year i'm going back to the fair on armband day and bringing the kids; it is a really great fair. the concert was as good as an outdoor concert ever could be. considering there were a ton of people there our seats were pretty good. pete's mike could have been turned up some because he was kinda hard to hear, but the music itself was fantastic, so that's alright. afterward we rode the tilt-a-whirl again (we're thinking of becoming tilt-a-whirl reviewers) and then i snuck back into the grandstands to try to meet the band. it was actually pretty funny and i couldn't believe it actually worked, but i made the event staff believe i needed to search for something i left in the stands (i didn't actually lie to them though) and i happened to run across this little red stuffed dog on the floor and acted as if that was what i was searching for. heehee. anyway, so then i purposely looked kinda lost and innocently asked the security guard that had been eyeing me if this was the way to a restroom (i knew it was) and he had to let me through. so i was able to go over to another area where the drummer was standing and chatted with him for a few minutes and got an autograph on my ticket. sucess. he was really nice. but then the state trooper cleared out the place, so i had to go. funny too because this whole time, erin had to duck into the bathroom to avoid the stares of troopers wondering why she was hanging around, and when she came out and waited for me a minute in the hallway, two of them escorted her out. i was actually behind her in the hallway at the time and was trying to catch up to them, but the whole time laughing at her because it was a pretty funny scene. anyway, we had a good time, got home late and all that jazz. i'm going again to see them in louisville on november 13th if anyone wants to join me.
since i've been home, alex has been pretty sick with a really high fever - hence why i haven't been able to get on here. i won't be sending him to school tomorrow and i know he'll be sad about that, but he's probably still contagious although his fever is down a bit since yesterday it isn't completely gone. i'm in the process of building him a playhouse/loft bed. i'll put up some pics as soon as you can tell what it is. i love to build things. prolly gonna make avril one when i'm done with this one. then maybe a playhouse outside. by then i should be pretty good at it, so if anyone else wants one just let me know. lol. well i'm gonna go to bed since i've got to work tomorrow. love to all. and congrats to april; madeline (sp?) is beautiful. i'll come visit soon.
I just voted!
