So the kids have been entertaining themselves so well lately that last week while I was cleaning the house, I didn't think twice about them playing in Alex's room for a few hours with no trouble. But then I go in to check on them and found that they had found a marker somewhere and thought it would be great to draw happy faces on each other.

But I couldn't get very upset, because they had also gotten out a board game and were playing so well I decided not to rock the boat (except to take the marker away).

Yesterday we went with mom and picked up her new puppy! She is a beagle with the sweetest spirit. Her name is Daisy. Last night the kids went off to Awana and mom had nursery duty, so Frank and I puppysat. It was so funny because Frank doesn't like animals but Daisy loved him! We were sitting on the floor just talking while watching her eat and she just kept crawling up in his lap. He sat her back down and three times she just came back and made herself comfy. I couldn't help but take pictures of it; he gave in and let her nap for awhile.

She is the cutest little thing and has yet to even make a sound; all she wants to do is be held and cuddled. Mom wanted a little dog to be a companion since dad is away so much, and I think she got a great one - the dog will be as spoiled as her grandkids are. Daisy is a big hit with the kids too, as I'm sure you can imagine. Avril cried so much when Daisy had to go home last night that I had to promise we'd go visit her today to get her to go to bed. Anyway, I'm off now to clean the church. Wish me well.
