Poor Thing

So Avril has come down with the flu. There's not really a whole bunch to tell about that, but she looked so pitiful I couldn't help but to take some pictures. Last night before bed at least she was able to eat most of a pop tart and keep it down. This morning she seems to feel a bit better, so maybe the worst is past.

The other news of the house is that Alex has learned to tie his shoes! He is also drawing alot more these days (completely not like him) and is coming up with some cute stuff like this one of his family.

Not Much to Update

Really, our lives have been quite boring lately. The most exciting thing going on is at the moment we are dogsitting Daisy. So I took the opportunity to take a few pictures. Daisy has adopted one of Arwen's tennis balls and it is pretty funny because it is almost as big as she is. Arwen isn't terribly impressed with having another puppy around here anyway and I'm not going to tell her about the ball. lol. Alex is very happy tonight because Nana made him a "handsome man shirt with buttons" and he is loving wearing it and was actually happy to pose for a picture in it. Usually when I try to get a pic of him he acts goofy because he likes goofy pictures better; I can't tell you how many shots I have of him posing as a ninja or in inexplicable positions. Anyway, tomorrow we're going out to pick up the new walls for the shower so next week I will be busy with that project. Yay! But that's really all that is going on.

Nana's New Puppy, Daisy

So the kids have been entertaining themselves so well lately that last week while I was cleaning the house, I didn't think twice about them playing in Alex's room for a few hours with no trouble. But then I go in to check on them and found that they had found a marker somewhere and thought it would be great to draw happy faces on each other.
But I couldn't get very upset, because they had also gotten out a board game and were playing so well I decided not to rock the boat (except to take the marker away).

Yesterday we went with mom and picked up her new puppy! She is a beagle with the sweetest spirit. Her name is Daisy. Last night the kids went off to Awana and mom had nursery duty, so Frank and I puppysat. It was so funny because Frank doesn't like animals but Daisy loved him! We were sitting on the floor just talking while watching her eat and she just kept crawling up in his lap. He sat her back down and three times she just came back and made herself comfy. I couldn't help but take pictures of it; he gave in and let her nap for awhile.

She is the cutest little thing and has yet to even make a sound; all she wants to do is be held and cuddled. Mom wanted a little dog to be a companion since dad is away so much, and I think she got a great one - the dog will be as spoiled as her grandkids are. Daisy is a big hit with the kids too, as I'm sure you can imagine. Avril cried so much when Daisy had to go home last night that I had to promise we'd go visit her today to get her to go to bed. Anyway, I'm off now to clean the church. Wish me well.
